This year we will honor champions of our community who have led by example, setting a standard of excellence as professionals and for their humanitarian efforts. The evening will also honor survivors and the community that supports them. Our honorees are Tamron Hall, broadcast journalist and television talk show host whose passion has been helping those who have been victims of domestic violence as she lost her sister due to the hands of this epidemic. R&B/soul singer, songwriter, musician and record producer Angela Winbush who is a cancer survivor and thriver who advocates for those that have been affected by domestic abuse.

Hosted by NAACP image award winner Tisha Campbell and music provided by the one and only DJ Cassidy. On stage “The Unit” a beloved backing band from Los Angeles plus some of your favorite R&B artists will perform and create our very own BKSH “Pass the Mic” challenge. It will be a night you won’t forget
In the past, the foundation hosted and honored industry notables such as Faith Evans, Jenifer Lewis, Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds, Ricky Bell, Marla Gibbs, D.L. Hughley, Dana Pump, Deon Cole, Stevie Wonder, Macy Gray, and Mike Phillips, to name a few.
A 501(c)3 non-profit organization established by the King of R&B Bobby Brown and his wife Alicia Etheredge-Brown, the “Bobbi Kristina Serenity House”, is a charity with a personal cause fueled out of love from a father for his daughter whose life was cut short due to domestic violence. “Our primary goal is to assist in eliminating the epidemic of domestic violence against women, children, and families as well as help identify the warning signs of an abuser. This charity is just one way I can continue to honor my daughter.”

THE CELEBRATION OF SERENITY
We take the evening to bring awareness to the Domestic Violence epidemic and celebrate how far we’ve come. In our founding stages, we built resources and partnerships offering safe spaces in Boston and Atlanta as well as providing a domestic hotline for prevention. Ultimately, we want to build shelters in Los Angeles and across the entire country for Domestic Violence victims and their families.
